Response to question 1

Superman was a hero for me growing up. He was what every kid wanted to be, so learning from at a young age had a big effect on me. He always saved the day and stopped the bad guy. Superman taught me to never be afraid and always do what was right. If he ever found himself in trouble he would always find a solution. I admired how he was able to hide his identity as superman from the rest of the world, making me believe that anyone had the power to become a superhero. What really inspired me was how he helped everybody, and after he saved the damsel in distress, he would save the bad guy and tell them right from wrong, giving them a second chance to become a good guy.

  1. Thanks for sharing this. Okay, so you do a decent job telling us why you admire him (you could improve this by pointing out specific examples instead of just making general statements about his behavior). But, what I'm wondering is how he influenced you and your trajectory. Again, I'm looking for some specific time when you figured out what to do based on what your hero would do.
